Plagiarism, as defined by Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities (JISH), encompasses both intentional and unintentional acts of obtaining credit or marks for a scientific work by quoting, in part or in whole, the work of another party without proper acknowledgment. The following general conditions must be adhered to by authors:
- Articles must be original, unpublished, and not concurrently submitted elsewhere. Any material borrowed from other sources should be clearly identified to differentiate it from the original text.
- Authors are prohibited from submitting the same article to multiple journals. If such a violation is discovered during the review process or after publication, appropriate action will be taken as per the editorial team's policy.
- Authors are required to conduct a plagiarism check upon acceptance of their article by Editorial Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities (JISH). The results of this check, along with the final revised article, must be submitted to the editorial team via OJS.
In the event that plagiarism is detected, the Editor-in-Chief will review the article and take action based on the level of plagiarism identified, following these guidelines:
- Plagiarism involving a short sentence from another article without proper citation will result in a warning to the author, along with a request to correct the text and cite the source accurately.
- Plagiarism encompassing a substantial portion of another article without proper citation and source acknowledgment will lead to the rejection of the submitted article for publication in Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities (JISH).
- Additionally, the author may face sanctions, including being barred from future publications in Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities (JISH).
- For instances of plagiarism not covered by the above rules, the editor of Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities (JISH) holds the authority to impose appropriate sanctions in accordance with the editorial team's policy.
